Court Department The Municipal Court receives and files all complaints signed by law enforcement officers and private citizens for violations which occur within Mendham Township and Mendham Borough. Types of cases include violations of state traffic laws, petty disorderly and disorderly persons offenses, and Township Ordinance violations. The Court office is responsible for the scheduling of cases, collection of fines, record-keeping and report of dispositions to a variety of agencies, some of which include the New Jersey State Police and the Division of Motor Vehicles. To pay court fines online click here. Court sessions are open proceedings and may be viewed by the public. There is no jury in a Municipal Court proceeding. Testimony is taken from the complainant, defendant and any witnesses and a decision is rendered by the Judge based on the facts presented and the law.
