Garbage is collected once a week using Blue Diamond Disposal, a private contractor. Township residents pay only for the amount of garbage they produce. The hauler’s overhead costs are paid by contract through municipal taxes. You pay a sticker fee to cover the cost of disposal at the Morris County Transfer Station.
BLUE DIAMOND also provides Recycling Pickup! Please flatten all corrugated cardboard and empty and rinse all containers. Residents should also note that cardboard beer and soda packs are recyclable as well as aluminum pie plates, trays and foil.
Electronic Waste includes discarded, obsolete, broken, electrical or electronic devices, including computers, TVs, notebooks, cell phones and other electronic devices, often containing hazardous material not suitable for regular disposal methods. E-Waste can now be dropped off at the Mendham Township DPW building at 40 Mt. Pleasant Rd. during regular business hours, 7:30am-3:30pm Monday-Friday.
