| Inclement Weather or Missed Material
In the event of inclement weather, for up-to-the minute information, please visit Blue Diamond Recycling to determine if curbside collection has been canceled. If you do not have Internet access, call Blue Diamond directly. Please be aware that collection may begin on a particular day, but, due to safety concerns, crews may not be able to complete because weather conditions may change.
| Preparation of Recyclable Materials
• Material Preparation — Single stream recycling is here! Please flatten all corrugated cardboard and empty and rinse all containers. Residents should also note that cardboard beer and soda packs are now recyclable as well as aluminum pie plates, trays and foil.
• Label Containers. Please use identifying labels (e.g., trash only, recyclables only), especially when lids are placed on the containers.
• Container Weight. All containers must have handles and should weigh no more than 50 lbs when full.
• Recyclables must be placed at the curb the night before collection. This is the same as in previous years, but it is listed again because it is so important. We are trying to minimize the number of missed pick-ups. By placing the materials out the night before, residents ensure the materials will be at curbside when the truck arrives.
Household Hazardous Waste & Computer/TV Drop Off Events
Periodic disposal events are conducted during a few weekends in the spring and fall at sites in Morris County. These disposal days are open to Morris County residents only. For more information click here.
