Holds
Annual Health Screening May 8th 9th and 10th,
2008
The
Bernards Township Health Department will conduct its annual health screening
program for all residents of the Somerset Hills and its vicinity. This
special low-cost service includes a blood test (SMA-26), urinalysis, stool blood
test, blood pressure check, and health education. A thyroid blood test is
also available for an additional charge. The purpose of this program is to
screen for conditions such as diabetes, gout, kidney disease, liver disease,
elevated cholesterol, anemia, leukemia, severe infections, certain cancers, and
hypertension. All participants and their physicians will receive a copy of
their lab results.
The
screening will take place at St. James Roman Catholic Church on South Finley
Avenue in Basking Ridge on; May 8th, 9th, & 10th from 7:00 am to 9:00 am.
Registration
is required and will be held at St. James Roman Catholic Church,
184 South Finley Avenue
, Basking Ridge on Thursday, April 24th from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm
and Monday, April 28th from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Participants
may also register at the Bernards Township Health Department,
262 South Finley Avenue
, any day after April 28th from 9:00 am to
3:30 pm. Participants will also be able to register for the
upcoming Male Cancer Screening on the above registration dates.
The
cost for this service is $30.00 for residents of
Bedminster
Township
,
Bernards
Township
, Bernardsville Borough, Far Hills Borough, Peapack-Gladstone Borough, Mendham
Borough,
Mendham
Township
, and Chester Borough. The cost for non-residents is $40.00.
