Welcome to Mendham Township Open Space Preservation!

Charming country roads, rolling fields, breathtaking views, lush stands of mature trees, clear streams, lost settlements from pre-Revolutionary times, quaint buildings and tidy parks characterize the unique rural and historic nature of Mendham Township. Since the 1960s, citizens have worked hard to keep it that way by preserving open space for generations to come.

This area of our website will introduce you to Mendham Township ’s open space program and the opportunities it presents for residents. The links listed here will:

The open space program was officially recognized in 1995 when Township Ordinance 15-95 established an Open Space Trust Committee and an Open Space Trust Fund, as approved by voter referendum. Voters have strongly endorsed the program over the years, and residents have generously supported preservation efforts.
